Bruin

In Loving Memory of Bruin

Bruin was born on December 18, 2017, and crossed the Rainbow Bridge in August 2026. One of the first things that stood out about him as a puppy was his enormous paws. Even then, it was clear he was going to grow into a big dog, and he certainly did.

Bruin was truly a gentle giant. He got along with everyone, whether it was children, adults, or other animals. He loved being close to his family and was always by our side, faithfully following me or my wife from room to room. If there was food involved, Bruin was never far away. He was the definition of a food-motivated dog, always sitting beside you with hopeful eyes, waiting for a small handout or any crumbs that might accidentally fall his way.

From a young age, Bruin faced more medical challenges than most dogs ever should. At just six months old, he underwent intestinal surgery. Later, he battled pancreatitis and other health issues throughout his life. Despite everything he endured and all the medications he required, Bruin never let those challenges define him. He remained active, playful, affectionate, and full of life. He faced every obstacle with strength and resilience, proving time and again that he was a true champion.

Bruin was more than a pet. He was a loyal companion and a source of comfort through life's ups and downs. He was always there for his dad through thick and thin, offering unconditional love and support. Whether it was a short errand or a long trip, Bruin loved being Dad's co-pilot, happily riding along wherever life took us.

His younger sister, Dollie, will miss him greatly. The two shared a special bond. They spent countless hours wrestling, tussling, and playing together. Dollie loved nipping at Bruin and even hanging onto his fur during their walks and adventures. Their playful relationship brought so much joy and laughter to our home.

The house feels so quiet now without him. We miss hearing his footsteps as he moved from room to room, his bark when he wanted attention, his playful moments with Dollie, and the familiar sound of him plopping down on the floor to relax. We miss the deep sighs that let us know he was finally comfortable and settled in for the evening. We especially miss listening to the "woe is me" stories he would tell his Mama while lying in bed.

Bruin filled our lives with love, laughter, loyalty, and companionship. His paw prints will remain forever on our hearts. While we miss him more than words can express, we are grateful for every moment we shared with him

Run free, sweet boy. Until we meet again.

❤️🐾 Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Bruin. 🐾❤️
